Carrie talks about "An Abundance of Love" About 3 years ago, I had an epiphany. I was going through a challenging life transition. One morning, while brushing my teeth, I started to notice how artfully the natural sunlight cast geometric shapes and patterns that came streaming down onto the porcelain surface of my bathtub. Impressed by the uniqueness and beauty of what I saw, I started to place props and different objects down such as marbles and rose petals, then photographed them. My interests previously had been in creative writing and poetry. Before then—I never considered myself an artist. My images have received an overwhelming amount of compliments from everyone who has seen them and that inspired me to continue. Since then—I have shown my work in art shows, various displays, and am currently showing in the Spring of 2011 at the Gallery at the Crowne—which is at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Ventura, CA. I also have galvanized much media attention such as features in newspapers and as an invited guest on radio shows. In this piece titled “An Abundance of Love”, the prismatic color and energy flowing from the Orchids represents an abundance of love. Like the feeling that is being evoked by being around loving and supportive people. This positive energy flows internally as it fills her with joy, inspiration and the motivation to create. The color that you see here is created by natural sunlight, shadows and reflections. dedicated to the Oneness
